Accessible, safe storage is hard to find for those experiencing homelessness and it is so much more important than people realise.
Every day people sleeping out are being identified by, and targeted, for having their belongings with them at all times.
Every week, we at Street Storage hear horror stories of people’s belongings being vandalised, burnt, stolen, urinated on, or lost.
Street Storage started small because there was a need. As the need and demand for our service has increased, we have adapted and grown.

In 2022, the appeal campaign, entitled ‘Everyday’, aimed to raise awareness of the growing number of people experiencing homelessness, and generate more funds so we can continue to provide this community with free, accessible and safe storage for their belongings.

It’s rarely one reason that leads to becoming homeless and so your mind is already trying to cope with multiple things including anxiety, having no money, wondering where you might sleep. Worrying about whether your possessions, literally your lifeline, will be safe is another major concern. Street Storage is an incredibly practical solution with a hugely positive impact for the people it supports.
